softk56 Modem problems

I have modem with the following on the board
FM-56K-PCI v:RWHS-C
552-5600-032

It has a conexant(Rockwell) Chipset

I am using the standard winXP drivers and have also tried the standard Conexant Drivers under win98.
The Modem seems to be working fine but when I goto connect
it will dial but then will not make a connection with the modem at the other end
I have tried several ISPs and the same thing happens. Maybee I need to do a factory reset using At Commands then write to n-V Ram after that??

Please help me going crazy at 28.8k!!!!!

For one you need to come on into 2004 and get out of 1995....two...you're in the wrong thread....go to network and communication area..they'll help you out
