Default Socket 384

Is socket 384 that same as socket A?

I am trying to find a fan that is compatible with an AMD Athlon 1.1ghz

I think you mean Socket 370 don't you? that would be Intel Celeron and Pentium III processors, though most of the fans for Socket 370 are compatiable with Socket A(Socket 462)

I know what socket 370 is.

I looked up a CPU that I am fixing for someone and this is the only info I can find on ebay....

The description is socket 384

384 is the old intel socket i think

before 478

Socket A is also known as Socket 462

Ok quick question. Are all AMD athlons socket A.
I am looking for a HSF for an AMD AThlon 1.1ghz.

For that processor, yes, it is Socket A.

the only other Athlons made were Slot A which would look quite similar to Intel Slot 1, where its a cartridge type

for a fan for Socket A, here you go:

Athlon's are socket 370, AthlonXP's are socket A, Athlon64's are socket 754/939/940.
