Default Slower processor on Mobo

hi all

I was thinking, iv got a MSI MS-7005, and its running a 478 Celeron 2.6 Ghz.

If i was to give this mobo to my brother, could he put a 478 celeron 2.4Ghz

Yep, the socket type is the same so yeah it'd work.

It should work. I'd give him the CPU and the motherboard, but that's just me. Hmmmm, if we told you "No, it will never work" would that make it so you could justify getting a new motherboard and CPU? <insert evil grin>

im keeping my cpu for the time being, but getting a new mobo, so far, im sure i can change my processor to a pentium, from a celeron down the track in a P4P800-E Deluxe
