Default Slow loading?

My computer takes forever loading programs... especially word and mozilla.. any recommendations???

my comp is
2.0 GHz Pg4
512 SDRAM
60 GB HD
Windows XP Home

a P4 with 512mb ram should be a pretty fast machine (SDRAM isnt a great choice for that machine) if you are noticing performance issues, it could be in your software. Do disk cleanup, Defragment your HDD, stop applications from running in the background with windows, and use Spybot S&D to kill spyware and adware. (To stop apps from running with windows, go to the "Run" command from the "Start" button and type "msconfig", then go to the Startup tab and uncheck everything that you dont absolutely need.)

ras, I did that and it still loads reallllyyyy sloooowwww lol... and i use the spy ware and adware killers

ya i'll recommend formatting and re-insatlling the windows,

you have pretty faster machine, it shouldnt be doing like that.
