SLI? or no?

k, im thinking about getting a sli board instead and using my money but my mom is gettign the cpu. All i need to know is if you can use 1 video card in a slot for a bit of time then get another one later or does it have to have 2 cards to run? if i can get away w/ using 1 cad for now ill get a SLI board no doubt.

Yes, with one card it works just like a board with 1 PCI-E slot. In fact you have to boot up an SLI system with only one in and conifigure it with one in I believe.

You should get 4000+ instead. It's the samething as the fx53 but cheaper. Water cooling (like thermaltake bigwater) will get it way above that. (or get lower processor)

money isnt the problem and i have an AquariusIII. so which chip will OC better than.

IMO you shouldnt waste your money on a 4000+

3500's OC to 2.6ghz pretty easily. At least half the price as well.
