Slave drive letter assignment

I just installed a slave drive, and for some reason no letter shows up in My Computer. It shows up in Device Manager, although the "current drive letter assignment" input under the Settings tab is blank. If it helps, I'm using Windows 98se, and my current drive letter assignment setup is:

A: floppy
C: master hard drive
D: dvd
E: CD-RW drive

Hopefully someone knows the problem, thanks.

Maybe the drive isn't formatted/ has no partition on it.
Try formatting the drive, or using Fdisk.exe in DOS and creating the partition(s) there.
