Hi.. I'm trying to find a hard drive for my project PC.
The M/B supports Ultra DMA 33/66

Ok, I'm lookin on Ebay for a ~10GB Hard Drive. Most of them say they use ATA/100.

Two questions.
1. Is ATA the same as Ultra DMA
2. Will an ATA/100 drive work with my M/B

Thanks a million.

:p

(UDMA) Ultra Direct Memory Access is an interface type of the mobo. (ATA) Advanced Technology Attachment is an interface of the IDE device, in this case your hard disk. i beleive your hard disk will simply be "underclocked" to ATA66/33 from ATA100 speed.

i think this backwards compatability is inherited in most if not all of the ATA100/133 IDE hard disks out there. you should have no problems.
