Default Silly quick installation question

I've got a new case but I'm not sure about the little cables from the I/O to the motherboard. Is the white wire for positive or negative?

how many different colors you have?
usually red is positive and black is negative.
are you doing your own wiring? because normally the wires are all connected to like a little white plastic connector!!

Each pair of my cords comes with a funky color (red, green etc) plus a white one. I hear white is for ground...but I don't know what that means.

You will need to refer to the case manual to see which of the cables connects to where, but I think you are referring to the leads for the power/reset/HDD activity indicator etc.

Should look like this

on your mobo. (Sorry about the pic quality, best I had).
