Shadowing a computer specialist.

My stepdad wants me to shadow a friend of his.

He's, from what I've heard, a programmer but his side job is, I suppose, fixing/ upgrading computers.

What I want to know is what I should look into before shadowing?

My stepdad gave me too much credit for what I've done to my computer, which is barely nothing. So I'm paranoid that his friend may be expecting a lot from me.

So a list of things I should probably know, would be nice.

Odds are he knows how to majorly troubleshoot. Be up front with him as to what you have done to your computer and what you really know. Let him show you some things and then just watch and learn.

sit back and learn, you will learn from him it is the best way to learn IMO.

Hopefully, he hasn't really expected much from me.

If he has, I suppose he may be a bit disappointed.
