Setting Cas Latency in BIOS for Corsair Memory

I bought myself some Corsair TwinX1024-3200C2PT, and I am a bit unsure of how to set the Cas Latency settings in my BIOS.

First off I notice that when Cosair's site lists the latency numbers they list them as

2-3-3-6

I understand the memory's latency rating is 2, so I am unsure what the 3, 3, and 6 mean. Could someone explain this?

I was also wondering, under the setting in my BIOS to set latency. There are 3 other categories that can be set,

Example, I think one of them was RAS# to CAS#.

I assume these other 3 settings have something to do with the, 3, 3, 6.

How do I set these? I realize the computer can automatically set these parameters, but I've heard they do not always set them to the best possible setting, so I wanted to learn how to do it myself.

Scroll down to where it says 'DRAM TIMINGS' in big black letters kind of near the bottom...a little after halfway down the page..that'll explain the timings way better than I could.

when looking at timings of 2-3-3-6 they are called the following in this order:

Cas Latency - 2
Ras# to Cas# - 3
Ras# Precharge - 3
Cycle Time(Tras) - 6

Like Nubius said, they should follow in the order listed.

Your BIOS should offer a "User Defined" option. I looked
at my BIOS and it offers all the options you mentioned and
I could select the configuration options of my choice for each
parameter. Example: for Cas Latency, because I selected
to put the info in myself I could select either 1.5T, 2T or
2.5T. Using your numbers I would select 2T for Cas Latency.

On the other hand, if you select "By Speed" or something
similiar from your BIOS, this would send a request to your
ram to read off the built-in EEPROM on the ram chip that has
this information programmed into it and it will fill in those
parameters automatically. So, if you select "By Speed" you
should see the CAS, RAS/CAS etc fill in automatically.

I must be slow or something. Like I said, ImUseless!!!

Every time I post, while Im writing 300 other people post
before me even though their posts werent there when I
started writing-Go figure........

Well the time difference is 30 minutes dude...so you werent even close lol unless you opened this window and took 30 minutes to type up that post.

The problem is I need to stay at TF and not open 2 or more
windows/websites and carry on a conversation somewhere
else before I finish what Im doing here.
