Default Serial ATA Drivers?

If you are building your own computer, and you are using Serial ATA hard drives, I have heard you need to put drivers on a floppy, is this correct? And if it is, where can I download these drivers?
Thanks!

Yes, you will need a floppy to get your sata drives working.
