Default Separating audio from a video file

Now here's another question: how do you separate the song from a video file? I like to burn it on my CD so I can play it in my car but the original file with the song in it is from a Youtube video. I have the whole video downloaded, but I want the sound instead of the video part. What software is used to do this?

Enter the youtube website.
Convert to mp3 and send to email.

OMG, you guys are like Internet God!!! I can do searches and searches but could never stumble up on those. Thanks.
