Anyway, does anyone know if sempron processor o/c well? I'm hoping for a 250mhz increase on the processor on top of a 50mhz fsb increase using PC4000 ram.

I don't know enough about amd processors

dont think you get that much FSB increase, maybe 33mhz if that, maybe an extra 1 or 2 on the multiplier as well

tom's hardware OC'd a sempron 2800 that runs @2ghz up to about 2.4ghz on air cooling only, that was about the limit

you run out of FSB settings on the socket A sempron boards

bah... ill spend the extra $61 for a 2500+ barton and o/c it to 225fsb and x.xxghz

Sempron's are actually the same as Athlon 64 clawhammers, without 64-bit extensions and less cache.
they have less on them, so they should produce less heat and overclock pretty well

250 fsb shouldn't be that hard with good ram; what are you planning to use?

oh, and are you considering an aftermarket HSF?
