SCSI vs. EIDE

320.... wow.

I have some (old) SCSI CD-ROM drives and this huge Segate Barracuda HDD (huge as in it's THICK, but I don't know the capacity)...

And this one old Ultra SCSI HDD that ony holds 2.1 GB.

I don't have a single mobo that supports SCSI or Ultra SCSI, but I think I have some old SCSI PCI or ISA cards... lol

Got all this from a friend who has way too much old junk, and I like old junk...

hahaha . . . when the junk is good, i like it too . . .

the only problem is that you would need to wait a bit to really harness the speed of SCSI Ultra320 . . . the only desktop that can handle that is the apple g5, since it has pci-x slots . . .

then the only speed it can handle is Ultra160, so then you might as well just get SATA150

o wait nvm . . .

pci-express x1 handles upto 500mbps . . . so maybe i'll wait for that for amd mobos :)

i wanna build an intel pc for downstairs with pci express, but i cant find all the right parts yet (vid card, etc)
