SCSI (Pronounced SCUZZY) is another form of device connection similar to IDE for hard drives and other devices. It stands for Small Computer Systems Interface. A broad term is just another form of interfacing with a system motherboard (like IDE). It provides faster communication than IDE and can be daisy-chained to other SCSI devices (unlike IDE).

SCSI drives are used usually in servers for large fast storage. Most SCSI drives are 10000RPM which is pretty fast and pretty noisy, also they get pretty damn hot too due to this. So most home/gamer PC's dont have SCSI drives.

The next new thing is SATA which is serial ATA. Faster data transfer compared to IDE.
