You have to realize that the x800 is a top of the line ATI card, so of course it's going to be grossly overpriced, that's just how technology works.
I have to correct you there Gaara the X800 is the lowest end card you get in the X800 series its like the vanilla 6800.

I think the price is so high now is because its still so new and newegg haven’t released what the proper price has to be or maybe newegg made a typo because it right that it has to be $199 in the first place for a low end card.

I don't think Newegg made a mistake, I've looked on pricewatch and haven't seen a X800 for $199.
