Default Is a screen saver needed on a TFT monitor?

As title folks? is it really needed?

Ive never been sure but ive always had one just incase.

nah, they work differently to a CRT so you wont get an image burnt into a tft monitor. saying that most decent crt's will be fine without a screensaver too - unless you are planning on leaving them for seriously long periods of time, in which case why not turn it off?
