Our dell came with an LCD as a free upgrade. It is a very cheap 15 inch, but it works pretty well. Anyhow, sometimes when I look at it I see what appear to be scan lines. They appear to be dimmer than adjacent lines, and are particurally apparent on white and near-white backgrounds. Refresh rate is set to 60HZ, the panel is running at native res. Ideas? It is only mildly annoying, but still soemthing that shouldn't happen. The panel is an E152FP if that helps.

have you installed the software for that monitor yet?

also, are you using integrated graphics or a seperate vid-card?

and does the scan lines happen constantly or during certain apps?

That has to do with the AGP aperature grill.

I worked at a law school that had dells across the board. I didnt see one without any scan lines. No amtter the monitor, there was always at least one scan line. I have never seen a dell without any scan lines. It's just one of those errors that Dell has and has yet to fix.
