SATA on Shuttle AK31 v1 mobo?

I want to get this hdd-http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-144-200&depa=1 I hope that will work with my mobo. It is supposed to be really fast with 5.2ms seek time and 10,000 rpm. I don't really care that its only 36 gig because I'll never use more then 15-20gb's. My mobo is a Shuttle AK31 v1.
I also will want to do a raid 0 configuration, but my mobo doesn't support it. The mobo I want to get does support raid so I guess I just need to wait till I get enough for that mobo.
Please let me know...

Well seems everyone is in that ATi and nVidia debate for good so I searched really hard and I found out that the v3 can use sata so the v1 should be able to as well right?
