Question Sata Help~

OK so i have the sata drive in the computer hooked up to the primary sata data link on the mb and i am also using an IDE hard drive also... what i want to do is use the IDE as a secondary hd and use the sata as the primary to boot from...when i tried to detect in bios for the comp to notice another hd it didnt find the sata and i dont know what do from here. Input is def needed, thankyou.

In the advance chipset sections of your bios, you have to turn on SATa. Since you want to use an IDE drive as well, you have to switch it to mixed mode, in which it can use IDE and SATA together.
