Default SATA 80GB (8 MB) vs IDE 80GB (8 MB): Both Same Price... Which Is Better?

They are both the same price, so I was wondering which one is better? I think it is SATA, but what makes it faster? They are both the SAME speed (7200 RPM), same buffer (8 mb), and same capacity (80 Gb)

Can someone help me out here? Thx.

P.S.: PC will be used for pure gaming.

R u talking about SATA n ATA?
For ATA, the data tranmisson rate can only reach 133MB while SATA can reach 150MB.N the SATA cable is more smaller than ATA cable thats make your casing tidy n spacious.
