I have a S/PDIF connector on my asus p4p800 dex and was wondering if i can plug my xbox audio into that to hear it through my computer speakers... is it possible?
S/PDIF is that little yellow audio plug found on most mid-high end motherboards...basically it gives you true surround sound (not a duplicated stereo signal) without going and buying an expensive sound card.
I'm actually using my computer to play my Xbox on it (through a TV tuner) and I want to be able to listen to the audio through my computer speakers. So would the Xbox audio cable go right into the S/PDIF connector and could I hear the sound?
sorry about the bad quality, i kept the resolution low to fit on my hosting site...basically the xbox audio plugs (red and white) plug into there...then the speaker plug (green) plugs into the other end...hope this helps....
