Default running real quiet after cleaning

I just vaccumed out the dust inside my computer and now it is quieter than usual. is this a good sign?

Yup, i better do that too, there's probably like 1 gallon of dust crap in my case, eww.

I don't see how cleaning would make it quieter because if you clean the fans they will run faster and therefore louder.

the dust gets stuck around the fans and on heatsinks, forcing the fan to run harder to keep the same speed.
most of the noise would most likely be coming from your cpu fan, mines getting noisey at the moment, and i noticed the temps are upa bit from normal. so when i get time, i need to do some cleaning!

I was kind of worried that I killd one of my fans when I was cleaning. LOL and I also found what looked to be little bits of popcorn inside the case at the bottom.
