Well I was looking for a new video card that was cheap but will last a long time and be future-proof. I don't want to spend 210 dollars and then it wouldn't work. Does anyone have any thoughts on this and would it be the right card if I don't need it to have the greatest graphics in a year. If this probably won't last then what will? The most I could spend would be $290 USD.

wait a little since the prices will go down... the 7800GTX came out, and that should drop these quite a bit...

I wouldnt get a refurbished video card, i would get a regular. Get a GeForce 6800 GT from eVGA or Leadtek, i believe they are retailing for around $300 now
