Default Resetting the BIOS

I am wondering if resetting the BIOS has any effect on problems regarding a PC crashing
If I was to reset the BIOS am I wise to note the current BIOS settings and re-enter them after a reset
Does resetting BIOS affect any data on the disk or netwrok settings

Thanks for any help

It doesnt affect any data on the disk. It could affect network settings assuming you turned off an onboard network controller. However, the BIOS has nothing to do with the disk, it is contained on the ROM BIOS chip on the motherboard.

yeah I guess if you don't know what settings are optimal for your system in the BIOS then perhaps you should record where they are at
