Can anyone recommend an ADSL router than can handle multiple (or at least 2) WAN IP addresses?

thanks

??? I am no networking specialist but I understand quite a bit, and have my own network with routers.

2 WAN IP's adresses are adresses that are available on the outside, you only want to do this for multiple proxy servers running on your connection.

If you want a Router that will handle 2 PC's, linksys BEFRSR41 is a rock solid cheap router. I have one of those, it broke after 4 years of hard work though, now im using cisco routers.

Yeh we have several servers running on our network, mainly offering services for people within but some to the outside world. Our ISP is offering multiple IP addresses, this would save specifying obscure ports rather than the standard ones to connect in. And eventually a different IP address for different services.

So i am after one that will handle the multiple WAN IP's, which is preferably pretty capable when it comes to load balancing.

I believe if you have more than 1 IP rented you can just hook a switch right up to your modem to have it have external IP's.

However this means your server is now EXTERNAL and not internal to everyone on your network. After you have your NAT (Router), 1 IP is all ya get on that network.

Feel free for anyone to correct me, I get most of network, but this is the obscure hard stuff.
