OK so im currently working on building my own computer. It consists of a(the essential parts to know):
ASUS K8V Deluxe-
AMD 64 2800+
Western Digital Special Edition 120 GB HD- a Serial ATA
Samsung 52x32x52 CD-RW
and some floppy that i dont remember the brand- i believe the link is the right one

So i get my parts and put everything in a Chieftec Dragon case. i start my computer and put in the Windows XP home edition CD (not generic/ripped/hacked) that i bought from Newegg.com. My HD did not come with any disks for formatting or anything like that it was only the drive in a anit-static bag so i had nothing to format with. But when i went to install Windows it said that it could not find a hard drive present with my computer. From here i tryed to use a bootable floppy disk. even though the light was on on the floppy drive and the disk was properly inserted i was contiuously getting the message "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key." Does anyone know what to do about this probelm or whether it might be a Mobo issue or what.
Any help would be very much appriciated and if drivers are needed i would love it if you would give me the links to the ones you think will do the job.

Thanks agian

p.s. if you want the links to the parts they are all below in the order listed above

XP is a bootable CD. First off, enter your BIOS at boot up and change drive priority so that your CD is looked at before the HDD. Insert XP CD and follow instructions. It will get you to format/partition your HDD. Follow the prompts. You don't need a bootable diskette so leave the 3 1/2 drive empty.
