rear projector tv's

i know this is the wrong place but noone is in the multimedia sections. anyway im looking to buy a rear projection tv mainly for games and the lady at the store said there not good for games because they "burn" an image into the tv.

is this true? and how long must it be there for it to be burned in?

yyea i have heard of that too,
like for instance in an fps your gun would stay in the same spot and burn it in.
bad.
just get a plasma or lcd or something

yes my friend has one and his socom game screen is lightly burned in the background of the screen. Even if you unplug everything its still there and wont come off. After you play a whole bunch of games im guessing all those games would be burned into the tv so that would suck.
