Default Really high x2 3800+ temp under load

my AMD x2 3800+ cpu gets to a woping 51 degrees after comeing of a 2 hour counter strike match, it had been overclocked to 2.4GHz, voltge 1.4v and multiplier to 10x but te temps got way to high for my likeing so i reduced it back down to 2.0Ghz voltage 1.4 multiplier 10x

What could be wrong, it gets to 51 degrees at 2.0GHz !!! idle it gets to minimum 39 degrees!! its currently on 1.4v is that a problem if its only on 2.0GHz?

Get artic silver 5 and an aftermarket HS&fan. it will drop your temps nicely.

I get 20*C with my AMD 3200+ at idle.

What is your room temperature and what do you have for case cooling?

Intel Q9400 | Gigabyte EP45-UD3P | G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2 1000 | XFX HD5870

51 degrees is barely below the tcase temp for manchester cores. drop the voltage to 1.35v for stock speed and it should still run stable.
