Question real laptop

Ive got a mate of mines laptop here. He bought it from tiny, how have now gone bust. the specs he was told was that its a 2.8 with 512mb memory but when ive opened it up its a 1ghz amd with 128mb ddr266

The only thing that makes me unsure is that its got the mobile athlong xp sticker on it.

He said he paid £500(GBP) for it 6months ago.

My questions is that can you get a mobile 1ghz amd? it thought they were just the 2500xp-m?

Is there anyway i can contact someone incase he has been ripped off? Or is he totally screwed now tiny are no more?
