re-flashing hard drives

after a hard drive is degaussed, is it possibly to re-flash it with the data needed to be usable again or will it stay permanently destroyed?

what i meant was, if the drive is passed through a degaussing ring putting out 4000 gausses (demagnatizes the drive), is it possible to use another drive to flash the demagnatized one so that it can be used again instead of junked.

Where did you do that, and why? And the correct term is "4000 Gauss", no plural.

I was given a 300GB SATA drive that had gone through a degaussing ring. I just wanted to see if it'd be able to flash it so it could be used again.

Once degaussed, the hard drive will be unusable and will not be recognized by the computer. In fact, the erasure is so deep that the factory written servo tracks on the disk platters are also demagnetized leaving no reference points for the read heads to key in on.
