I'm looking to purchase a mechanical keyboard in the near future. I play SC2 reguarly and will probably get D3 when it comes out. CS:GO is a must as well. I currently use a Gigabyte GM6800 media keyboard so anything is an upgrade at this point. I used a mechanical keyboard (Corsair Vengeance K60) for the first time a few days ago at my friend's house and IT FELT AMAZING. After doing some research on different Cherry switches, I think I would prefer Blue or Red.

My budget is under $100, preferably around $70 or $80.
As of right now, I can buy the Razer Blackwidow for about $67 at NCIX after price-matching to this link: Razer Keyboard RZ03-00390100-R3U1 BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming USB Black RetailCurrent - RAZER - Keyboards - Peripheral - Computer Parts - HookBag

I'd appreciate it if any Blackwidow or mechanical keyboard owners could provide input on their experience.

I don't have the Blackwidow, but I do have the Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire Rapid.

I am VERY happy with this keyboard so far. I wanted a decent keyboard w/o a numberpad so I could game more comfortably. This board fits the bill. Cherry blue switches feel sweet, plus it is nice and heavy.

It looks to be a little cheaper for Canada at NCIX:

Mmm, I actually want a number pad though. Pricewise, I'd probably get a Blackwidow because it has what I need. I've looked at the Coolermaster before and it seems very sturdy and well worth it, but I'd like to know whether or not the Blackwidow has good build quality.

Well I personally don't have the Blackwidow but I do have several Razer products including two keyboards. I have the Anansi and Lycosa. They both work great for me and I haven't ever had a problem.

I am a bit of a Razer fan boy but I don't think you can go wrong with them at least when it comes to their keyboards and mice.
