Ram Questions.

ok i have 1 gig of pc 3200 Corsair value select ram. right now its running at like 8-3-3-3 and some people say i could get it to run faster. whats best to change? the 8 or the 3's? lol and how much should i lower them. and what does CAS latency even do.... explanations please.

Are you sure it's not running at 3-3-3-8 instead of 8-3-3-3? 8 for a CAS latency is pretty peculiar to me. If you wanna learn to overclock your RAM, go to the overclocking forum and on the top there should be a post by a guy named Kangaroo and it's called "basics on how to overclock" check it out.

for all i know it could be 3-3-3-8 i dont know. i dont like the overclockers forum its evil!!!

just go too it. It's the pinned topic on the top of the board. It's like a tutorial. And yeah, you should get your numbers right because it's definately 3-3-3-8.
