i have the system below. cuz i dont have not flashed my mobo with the newest bios (F4), my mobo reads my ram at 166, but when i change it to manual and set the ram to 200, so weird s*** starts happening. windows loads fine, but when i load certain programs or levels in some games, my comp will just restart. Other times the entire computer will freeze and often produces a high pitch screech through the speakers. it runs fine at 166. i built this comp and ran the ram at 200 perfectly. however, i reformatted, cuz of spyware and other viruses, and reinstalled xp. After this, the crap started to happen. any advice?
