I have an MSI 865PE Neo2-PFS(Platinum) i865PE Chip 800FSB DDR400 w/LAN, 5.1 Sound, USB 2.0 8x AGP Motherboard. As of right now I have 512 MB Dual Channel [256MB X2] DDR-400 PC3200 RAM and im not quite sure what brand it is. I'm a little confused on the whole DDR 400, 333 and all of that.

My question is, whats the type of RAM I need to gain 1 GB. I've heard some things about the Corsair XMS not working right on Intel boards....what RAM do I need to buy in order to gain the best 1GB possible? Thanks.

yeah, I definitely agree with MicroBell saying KINGSTON HYPER X

if you get two of the same...... you'll be good.

I use one 512 stick and things run nicely..

again, What kind of programs are you going to be running?
512 is probably plenty?
hope i helped again

I currently play Far Cry, and Unreal Tournament. I'm going to play Doom 3 and Everquest II. Will there be a difference in my gaming if I go with the Kingston HyperX 1 GB RAM ? And by difference I mean a considerable amount.
