ram id

i got 2 types of ram that im not quite sure what they are. Here's the info thats on them

samsung 256 1Rx8 pc2-3200u-333-10-a1
m378t3253fg0-ccc

and the other is
(this one has the letter M with a ring around it)
mt8htf3264ay-40eb3 200439
256mb 1Rx8 pc2-3200u-333-10-a0
256mb, ddr2, 400,cl3

Now to my knowledge they are both ddr2 400 ram right? the only difference is the brand?

From my searches I have found that the Samsung is DDR not DDR2. The second one is DDR2. First is PC2700 while the second is either PC3200 or PC4200.

when i lined the ram up against an old pc2100 ddr ram it has more pins and it doesnt fit into my old motherboard either. Where ever i look on the net it keeps saying its ddr2 ram

Is it SIMM or DIMM is one question? SIMM is Single sided while DIMM is Double. Second how many pins? Third how old is the RAM? From my searches on Google and Ask i have found those results.
