Default ram compatiable

im buildin a new comuter for my mate. well kinda ive ordered a xp 3000 to go with the msi that he already has. its a model with the nforce2 chip on it. anyhow hes already using it with a xp 2000 in i think it is. but his ram isnts the fastest but i dunno what speed it is and i wont know till i go round with al the new stuff. what is the min speed ram he'll need for it to work. will it have to be pc3200 for the 200fsb or will it still work with slower like pc2100 or pc2700?

download a program called sandra 2004, tells you everything about his comp..

I would presonally recommend you get the ddr400 ram (pc-3200) but im not sure if that woujld work well with the slower ram chips.. for example the 2100's and such..
