This ram any good?

It's cheaper but I don't know a lot about ram.

aren't those latency values a little high? and why only a total of 512? i think it's a reputable brand and all, but i don't know that much about ram either.

oh yeah, i looked again, i thought it was samsung, it's not, it's G.Skill or something, that's a unknown brand to me. i would now stay away from this.

i dont mean to steal the thread but

i have a 512 and a 256 stick

is it better to put both in for 768 or just have the 512 in?

(w/ the 256 i can put it in my bros comp)

well, i would keep the two sticks both in my comp if i wasn't using dual channel and they are the same speed.

Yeah, usually that last number in the latency should be 2, 2.5 or 3, 3 being the slowest, but 8 is very high and I have only really seen numbers like that in DDR2

the lower the latency, the faster the memory.

ill be blunt, that ram sux dude. get some ocz or corsair cause the timings on that ram suck bad.
