I have two option for setting up my new HDD array. Would it be faster to have:
  • A single WD Raptor (10k rpm, 8MB Cache etc) for my OS. Then a large 200GB+ SATA HDD for everything else; games, programs etc. Western Digital Raptor 36.7GB SATA150 (10,000rpm, 8MB Cache) + 200Gb Seagate Barracuda SATA150 (7,200rpm, 8MB Cache).

    OR
  • A RAID -0 using 2x WD Raptors for all my information, OS, games etc. 2x Western Digital Raptor 36.7GB SATA150 (10,000rpm, 8MB Cache).

sure raid is faster.
but remember to have 2 new HDD, dont mix old disk n new disk together.
