Raid Card

i have 2 hard drives and i wanted to add another one. So i bought a raid card: Ultra 133 PCI to IDE/ATA host controller. I also bought a new 160gb hd. now I put in the card and it detected it. Then I connected the hard drive to primary slot on the card, the hard drive is a slave by the way. It gives me an error that the array 0 is not configured. So i tried to plug in my old hd and same error. Am i doing something wrong?? Let me know if you need more information. The HD is 100DMA/ATA. Thanks in advance.

Um, with RAID 0 you must have one drive on each channel setup as Master to achieve best performance. THEN you must go into the controller and have the controller setup the RAID array. Just plugging the drives in doesn't cut it.

PS- The drives must be the same size/speed.

BTW- The drives should only be set to master if they have their own channels.. If you only have one channel on the card, than you must setup master/slave.
