Radeon 9800 PRO 256 VS Radeon 9800 PRO 128

I was looking around, and this is the first time ive seen the 256 9800 PRO...and i looked at the comparison, and the 256 version has "GDDR2" and the 128 version has DDR. I was just wondering the difference between the 2, like what is GDDR2, how is it differenT? is it faster/better?

DDR 2 is faster than DDR.
If not mistaken, max bandwidth for DDR is 400Mhz while DDR2 is running at 533Mhz. This doesnt consider that DDR2 might get higher frequency later.
