i would recommen a 9800pro

they are about 225$ on newegg and far exceed the power of the 9600XT

I think you should buy a sapphire 9600xt cause its the best 9600xt out on the market. It beat the ati 9600xt in different benchmarks, and plus i have one and its sooo great to me

shure they are but im saying i need a all around good graphics card for all kinds of games. So i guess im going to go with the sapphire...

Get the XT. Have used it in the past and it runs very well. Like Arrow said... No ext. molex is required.

Oh brother! CS graphics push the limits of HL's graphics engine...which is slaughtered by games younger than 8 years. Even a stripped down UT2k3 swamps HL for graphics!


ATI's XT cards tend to have faster G-RAM installed. Usually the Pro cards have generic DDR SDRAM, while the XT cards have the ultra-fast stuff, which is more expensive, hence the 30-100 dollar price hike.
