Radeon 9550 to TV question.

Could I just use any VGA to Red Green Blue (YPbPr) or do I have to use the ATI VGA to Component HDTV Adapter? Newegg.com - ATI VGA to Component HDTV Adapter Model 6140016500

The cards/computers so old it can't do HD (lags with 480).

I've just got a random VGA to Red Green Blue (YPbPr) cable but it doesn't work.

From what I've googled there's a program called ATICVPATCH that "Forces component output signals to turn on without the use of an ATI Component adapter" but I can't find it anywhere.

For the first link just google radeon 9550 then click specifications.


/found ATICVPATCH but it still doesn't work maybe I have to use the DVI port? (I'll need to get an adapter)

/Even with a dvi to vga adapter there seems to be no usable single.
