At the moment my only stick of ram has maybe 1mm of clearance from my Core Contact Freezer. I want to upgrade to a 2x2 dual channel kit and the ones I am looking at have good size heat spreaders that would not clear my CCF. Will there be any problem skipping the first slot and using the 2nd dual channels (slots 2&4)? Or Should I keep shopping for a kit that doesn't have high rising spreaders?

As long as those channels are dual channels you'll be fine. Some MB require certain slots to be used first, or only have certain slots that can be used for dual channel. If that isn't the case on your MB you'll be fine.

It has two dual channel slot sets and I can't find anywhere that says the first slot needs to be used first. Looks good to me, thanks for the help!
