Default quick q. about anti virus and defrag

hi guys. i was just wondering, when doing a virus/spyware etc scanner, is it still ok to use your computer? or will it affect the search?

also the same question for when defragmenting a hard drive.

also is it true that defragging too often will wear out the hdd head?

thanks hazza

i dont know about the defragging question but using ur comp while running scans will not afffect it adversly unless u manage to download a virus in an area that was already scanned then u would have to check again but that is a very slim chance
