I have an old P3 switching power supply, and I want to us it to run a peltier. (I need the 12 volts) So, here is the question, how do I bypass the PS, so it will run without the motherboard to tell it to. Any ideas?

Thanks, Gimmick

Why would you need to? If your overclocking a cpu, (do they make peltier's for large P3's?) when you turn the computer off it won't generate any more heat. The peltier will still have residual coldness even when switched off.

I guess if you really want to though, you can wire directly to the PS lead, jump one end to the mobo and another to another switch for your peltier. Don't know if it will work though.
