Default Question: Using Internal HDD, Externally?

I have an 8 gig harddrive that I pulled out of my xbox a couple years ago, that has just been collecting dust. I also have a laptop with 2 gig of memory, and its running out fast. My obvious interest is to hookup this internal HDD, externally to my laptop.

Here is a picture of the Harddrive hookups:

Heres my question: How can I hook this up to my laptop externally? What kind of adapters would I need to make this happen. Do I have to get a case to put the HDD in, or will it work without one?

FYI: I dont have USB 2.0, so that probrably isnt my best option. Im a software guy, not a hardware guy... so this is not my field of expertise. Any ideas here would be greatly appreciated!

You would need to get an external enclosure. Like these:

Since you dont have USB, get an enclosure with a PS2 connector like this

Assuming you have an extra PS2 port.
