I heard a lot of talk about SATA installation problems. They said WinXp cannot detect SATA hard drives, if your just installing one. I also heard you have to insert drivers for the BIOS to recognize. But, if the SATA drive is OEM, then where is no floppy or cd-rom. So i'm just wondering how can this problem be resolved. I know MIcrobell put a post on SATA drives, but it's still a bit unclear.

The BIOS will detect the SATA HDDs without the drivers. However, Windows will not. It is very easy to install. It's just a hassle if you don't have the proper drivers.

you have to use a functioning computer to DL the proper drivers from either the HD's website or the Motherboards website and put them onto a floppy. During windows install it says "Press F6 for 3rd party driver support" do that and put in the floppy when it asks.
