Question on an External Hard Drive

Hi, Im Thinking of getting an External Hard Drive like an 250GB one. But not sure if it will work with my PC. my PC does not have the 48 bit LBA. would I need it or because it is going Through the USB or FireWire bus and not through the ATA/ATAPI interface that it doesn't matter?. any help would be very appreciated

I don't think that it would matter. Check the hardware requirements on the HD box itself and see if it mentions anything.

Should be ok. Does you computer have usb 2.0 or firewire on it. Becuase to get the max speed out of the harddrive you will need one or the other (firewire is faster)
