Default Question About Processors

Hi. I own a Dell Dimension 8100 that I purchased in mid-2000. It currently has a Pentium 4 1.3 GHz Processor. I've been looking at either buying a new PC or upgrading my Dell. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the motherboard on my Dell would be able to take a Pentium 4 3 Ghz Processor or if I would also need to upgrade my motherboard if I wanted that fast a processor? Thanks for any help you may be.

no it will not take that. your best bet is buy a new computer, but i am sure most things would be salavgable from this computer. it may be best just to get another machine so you can have 2 working computers.

don't forget to check out for cheap machines you can configure
